The Vice President (VP) Sales is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve the company’s growth objectives. This role requires strategic leadership, fostering a high-performing sales team, and maintaining key customer relationships.
Sales Strategy and Planning
- Hands-on implementation of Layover Solutions – whether hub or outstation – anywhere in the world.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets with regard to competitor products
- Analyze market trends and competitive data to identify sales opportunities to place our product in similar markets.
- Create and manage our sales budget to carry out sales promotion measures
Team Leadership and Development
- Recruit and onboard new sales staff in the relevant markets
- Establish performance metrics (KPIs) and monitor team performance.
Customer Management
- Acquisition and customer service of airlines, handling partners and hotels at central and decentralized level
- Develop sustainable strategies for customer retention and satisfaction.
- Directly manage key accounts and negotiate contracts.
Business Development
- Identify and explore new markets and sales channels.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate market requirements and product developments.
- Present and represent the company at industry events and conferences.
Analysis and Reporting
- Regularly report on sales activities and results
- Utilize CRM systems to track sales activities and customer interactions.
What we are looking for
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Tourism Management, or a related field.
Experience: At least 10 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position. Multi property or Airline Sales & experience abroad is highly appreciated.
Skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proven track record of increasing revenue and hiring teams.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships at Management level but also ground staff level.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools.
- Speaking several languages is mandatory.
- Understanding and dealing with different cultures.
